The Institute for Innovative Technologies, now known as 'IIT HYDROGEN', opened Italy's first hydrogen refuelling station in Bolzano in cooperation with the Brenner Motorway, the energy company Alperia and the support of the local government and the European Regional Development Fund (EFRE) eleven years ago. This project, called H2 South Tyrol, aims to produce, store and distribute hydrogen as a fuel from renewable energy sources. Over the years, significant experience has been accumulated in the hydrogen sector, with the aim of offering sustainable mobility solutions. IIT HYDROGEN now designs plants for the production, storage and distribution of hydrogen. The company is open to collaborations for hydrogen-related projects, from conception to realisation.

TPER is one of the main passenger transport operators in Italy and is the largest company in Emilia-Romagna in terms of numbers and service volumes in the public passenger transport sector. The company's areas of activity cover different segments of the transport sector, from car to trolleybus to passenger rail. TPER manages LPT by road in the provincial basins of Bologna and Ferrara and passenger transport in the regional railway sector, in partnership with Trenitalia, on the basis of specific service contracts, stipulated following the awarding of the relevant public tenders. Since 2018, TPER has managed CORRENTE, the free-flowing 100% electric car sharing from renewable sources launched today in Bologna and Ferrara. It is the only car sharing in Italy that has a fleet of electric cars and allows the possibility of starting the ride in one city and ending it in the other.
